Week 8 Fantasy Football Pickups

LeGarrette Blount: It was only a matter of time until the bruising rookie got his shot and he responded with 72 yards on 11 carries. Coach Morris did not same him the starter but he’ll certainly get more touches going forward.

Donald Brown: Brown has been bothered by a tender hamstring and hasn’t seen action since Week 3, but should be fully recovered post-bye.  With Addai out for the Colts, last year’s first round pick should get his chance to carry the load.  If Brown can’t go, Mike Hart would start.

Blair White: The rookie from MSU looks to be the Colts 3rd WR after injuries to Collie and Gonzalez.  He is a good possession receiver whose skills fit with the Colts’ agenda.

Jon Kitna: He certainly wasn’t very impressive on Monday night but given a full week of practice and those receivers he should be viable.

Steve Johnson: Tried to ignore his numbers because his touchdowns came in garbage time when the opposition really wasn’t giving their best effort but his product should not be overlooked.  Ryan Fitzpatrick has been effective and shown a eye for Johnson, thus he has escaped fluke status.

David Gettis: The undrafted rookie exploded on the scene with 8 catches for 125 yards and 2 TDs.  If Steve Smith misses any time, Gettis could be valuable.  Nevertheless, with the Rams next you could probably do worse than riding this rookie.  LaFell had 9-91.

Anthony Dixon: getting goaline carries, premier handcuff, and possible sleeper for ffb playoffs with Gore’s injury history.
