Update on NFL Salary Cap Space Remaining

Every fan wants to know where their team stands, but there is little information out there. Luckily, PFT recently posted two items naming which teams had the most cap space left and who has gone over the cap. These numbers are, as of Tuesday and “per a league source”, so once again take these numbers with a grain of salt. See where the teams approximately start with Salary Cap numbers.
20 million + under the cap
- Buccaneers: +30.2 million
- 49ers: +30 million
- Chiefs: +28.7 million
- Broncos: +26.7 million
- Bills: +26.5 million
- Bears: +24 million
- Cardinals: +23.6 million
- Seahaws: +21.2 million
OVER the Cap
- Raiders: 17.3 million
- Steelers: 11.5 million
- Texans: 8.5 million
- Vikings: 5.6 million
- Lions: 5.0 million
- Cowboys: 3.7 million
- Panthers: $939,000
