NFL: Salary Cap update
The NFL season never ends. After the Super Bowl, the offseason begins…which as the name indicates is a season in itself. From free agency beginning in March to the NFL Draft to camps, etc. etc. In preparation for the start of this season, here are estimates of NFL cap figures and space remaining heading into the 2012 offseason.
The 2011 salary cap was $120.375 million, and the 2012 be similar (the number is based on revenues, TBD). Significance space is in bold and over the cap in red, who must get under by the start of free agency.
Please note: these numbers are certainly not exact, they’re the best estimates I could compile with assists from ESPN’s John Clayton and Pro Football Talk. Thus, if you have any knowledge on a particular team feel free to share.
