Trent Richardson: Came to Alabama as an explosive “change of pace” back and receiver, but leaves as the total package. Undeniable toughness and strength between the tackles to go with long speed. Strong enough to run inside and quick enough to elude defenders as well as bounce outside. Clearly the best back of the group and strong chance he’s the first RB to go that high in some time. Definite Fantasy Football target.
Lamar Miller: From the first game I watched, I became a fan. Electrifying speed and incredible legs that never seems to stop…furious. Some concern that he hasn’t carried a full load, but the talent and undeniable speed are there for the taking in round two. Reminds me of Clinton Portis and think he could be one of the best deals of this draft. Great vision and agility, give him homerun hitting ability.
- First and foremost, you’ll see the speed as well as the vision for day light.
- Sets up blockers well, slippery runner.
- Most like the legs, non-stop chop, he makes quick and lethal cuts.
Doug Martin: Prolific pounder and prodder. Had enough speed to return kicks in college and it should serve him well to get him to the next level. Provided the balance in Boise’s attack since the 2010 season opener. He looks NFL ready.
- Strength and ability fall forward are apparent.
- Good agility for thick built, inside and out.
Robert Turbin: You know I love him. Violent down-field runner, who ran fast at the combine but people might’ve been wow’ed by the gun show. Comes from a rough road, so I like his chances for success even since he has already overcome so much. Has some injury history, but looked better than ever this year. Will be ready from day one.

The way you feel about Robert Turbin is the way I feel about Oregon’s LeMichael James. 2,000 all -purpose yards and 19 TD following 21 TD a season earlier. Trent, of course, is the cream of the crop! No question! First such back in a while…
