About

NFL Football Now

I created NFL Football Now in September, 2010 in order to share my opinions and observations with fans of professional football.  The mainstream media’s lackluster, vague coverage of a truly great sport is not enough for passionate fans.  Simplistic previews, ignoring stats/trends, and other important angles frustrated me.  It seems to be more about entertainment than about the game.  ESPN is like the Nickelodeon of football coverage.

The content will include the NFL Draft, Fantasy Football, and Weekly NFL Matchups.  I’ve been playing Fantasy Football since the early 1990s and analyzed matchups for as long as I can remember. Any feedback is appreciated. You can comment, Like the Facebook Page, Follow me on Twitter, or e-mail AudibleFootball@gmail.com. Hope you enjoy the content and let’s get ready for some football!

Sincerely,

Will Oleckna, Esquire

I was born and raised outside of Philadelphia.  Played every sport imaginable growing up.  In high school my team went undefeated in back-to-back years and were nationally ranked.  Also played basketball, golf, and track & field.  Academic all-state team as a left tackle.  Instead of playing football in college, I decided to concentrate on my studies.  After getting a business degree, I graduated from law school and I’m a licensed attorney in PA & NJ.

Hi Will, I’ve been following your blog for quite some time now and have enjoyed your knowledge/input each week. I am in a 2 QB league and quite a bit of money is on the line. I was wondering if you may be able to offer some advice? Going into week 16 (semi-finals) I am facing a QB as well as WR controversy. I have 4 QBs because it is my weak spot and I have basically skirted through by playing the matchups. I have Ryan Fitzpatrick, Josh Freeman, Matt Moore, and Jake Locker. I’m feeling that they may choose to start Locker this week and think he’ll be a torcher but if they don’t which two guys would you go with? (Would you start Locker if the Titans choose to go with him?)

Next, I have Dez Bryant, AJ Green, Victor Cruz, and Santana Moss… Most every week I’ve been rolling with Dez, AJ, & Victor, but what do you think about the matchups in week 16?

My RB situation is too pretty because I have a recovered AP, LeSean McCoy, Marshawn Lynch, & Roy Helu.. I have chosen to roll with Peterson and McCoy this week, do you think that best as well since Helu is a little banged up this week and Lynch is playing the Niners?

League format is QB, QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, K, DEF

Thanks ahead for any time spent on this and for any advice you pass along.
