2012 NFL Draft: Wide Receiver Prospects go deep

This year’s class is loaded. Probably the richest position in the 2012 NFL Draft. There are difference-makers at the top. Speed throughout. Solid secondary and slot receivers in the middle. And a ton of potential to disect and differentiate. Here’s just a taste …

Fantasy Football Week 17 Pickups

Congratulations to all of you who have won or are still fighting for the championship.   Week 17 is largely unpredictable, but here are some players who could see expanded roles in the last week of the season.

Kendall Hunter: Likely to see more carries than usual with Gore less than 100% and them facing the Rams who haven’t stopped anyone on the ground.  Hunter has made small contributions to the team this year but has shown he has the potential to be a solid all-around back in the NFL.

Thomas Jones: Battle is doubtful and Romeo has leaned on the veteran since taking over as coach.

Stevan Ridley: Role has picked up the last couple of weeks.  Bellichick has been gone with his trusted Green-Ellis most of the season, even after a strong preseason by Ridley, but he should see more touches in the regular season finale.

Issac Redman: Becoming a bigger part of the offense and should see additional looks against Cleveland in the season finale.  Intriguing prospect next year.

Matt Flynn:  Starting for the Packers after they clinched the #1 seed.  Serviceable starter, nothing special in my opinion, as he proved last year vs. the Patriots.

Andre Roberts:  One of my misses from the preseason has finally turned it on.  Getting open opposite Larry (while Doucet has been more disappointing).  Decent matchup with Seattle.

Andre Johnson: Latest indications are that he will play.

Jared Cook:  Potential finally being realized.  Seeing a high volume of targets to go with the raw skills.

Falcons D/ST:  The Bucs defense looked like they quit on the season a couple of weeks ago and Freeman has not been protecting to football.
